2024 Dividends at BRVM: Sonatel Group to Pay 165 Billion FCFA to its Shareholders
The Sonatel group (National Telecommunications Company) of Senegal, which includes subsidiaries in Mali, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone and a stake in the Orange Services Group, will allocate to its shareholders as of May 22, 2025, for the 2024 financial year, a total net dividend of 165.500 billion FCFA (281.350 million dollars), according to one of the resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors at the Combined General Meeting convened for April 17, 2025.
Based on the 100 million shares that make up the company's share capital, the net dividend per share amounts to 1,655 FCFA compared to 1,575 FCFA in 2023, an increase of 80 FCFA. The dividend that will be paid to shareholders represents 300% of the nominal value of the share, which is 500 FCFA.
As of December 31, 2024, the Sonatel Group had achieved a consolidated net profit of 394 billion FCFA, compared to 332 billion FCFA in 2023, an increase of 19%. Consolidated revenue increased by 156 billion, reaching 1,776.4 billion FCFA, compared to 1,621 billion FCFA in 2023. EBITDAAL increased by 12.3%, reaching 839.2 billion FCFA, compared to 748 billion FCFA in 2023.
During the period under review, investments amounted to 300.5 billion FCFA, compared to 254 billion FCFA a year earlier, representing 17% of revenue, compared to 16% in 2023.
